A couple months ago Mark Pesce wrote an article about hyperdistribution and the death of broadcast television. In contrast to my comment about the inferior power of banner ads on Monday, he sees them as the future of video advertising. The article is long, but interesting. I can't agree with all of it because democracy strikes me as progressive revolting towards aristocracy. There will be shifts in membership, but the number of big winners will always be small.
