Hey, this is cool. I thought it was just going to be funny, but it ended up very interesting. I might have to do a "what people are saying" link at the labyrinth site. and include this. Yeah, right after I do this week's newsletter blog. I kind uh blogged out deez daze. |

I think most things are open to interpretation, and this one sounds fairly interesting. If I were to connect elements of the song, assuming they're meant to be connected, it sounds like the person who wants the shoehorn *knows* he can't get it, but states his want anyway because deep down it's what he believes in. Maybe he's being brave? Maybe it's sad? Maybe it's ironic? Just thank god there's no such thing. |

Um, the soccer (er, football) news was midley interesting, but not as much as the fact that you posted something at all. I love the way you come back and post with no comment about your long absence. Just pick up where you left off. and why not? |

I'm a developer for an industrial bank and have been thrown into InformEnt Knowledgeshare. I'm really interested in getting involved into a group that has this experience. Is it still evolving or has it stalled because of lack of interest. Jeff |

Man, life is about to get fun. I enjoy few things more than watching old favorite movies with my kids the first time they see them. And the Back to the Future trilogy would be one great example of that. |

I think you're way over analyzing this. Me I think that song is about wanting things we can't hve, no matter what that song is. Weather it's world peace, winning the lottery or catching a certain person's attention we all want our own personal "Shoehorns with teeth" and consider, a shoehorn with teeth would tear the living jeebers out of your foot when used. Sometimes these things we an't aren't always good. |

You can have some of ours this summer. Last summer we were at 12" by mid-July; this year we're at 19" -- and that's before the big few inches we had recently. The ground got so waterlogged that I'm going to have to rebuild some of my basement walls. And that's expensive. Oh well. I guess that it's always something. It got to 105F with about 80% humidity in Indianapolis the day we left. That's really oppressive there. We Hoosiers just aren't used to it. Oh, and did you see Lisa's essay in the Cresset ("stigm(at)a: facing the mirror of the wounds of Christ"): http://www.valpo.edu/cresset/2006_Trinity_Deam.pdf

I am so glad someone finally wrote on this. I actually took the time to figure out who the commentator was that made me want to pull my hair out and search for a post on the internet. I also switched over to the Spanish channel so that I didn't have to be bombarded by his moronic comments. I don't want to hear how Argentina has a "team full of point gaurds" or how scoring goal is "exactly what they wanted to do." No kidding Shep, isn't that the point of the game. I understand that soccer is not the most popular sport in America, but announcers like this aren't going to help. ESPN will either get rid of him or lose viewers. |

You're kidding, right? I've gotten one right out of twenty so far. If you just look at whether I picked the right winner, though, thirteen out of twenty looks better. I've got nine picks in a row for this weekend which I feel pretty shaky about. Likely I'll be back to even or worse by the time these shake out. |

Wow, your guesses are incredibly accurate. Admittedly, there aren't a lot of score possibilities in soccer. Still. |

I've managed to save up roughly $57285 in my bank account, but I'm not sure if I should buy a house or not. Do you think the market is stable or do you think that home prices will decrease by a lot? |

Go Houston! I and sure that you only said things is Spanish that Susie said said in English during the Dallas Mavricks - San Antonio Spurs game today. In the first game of the best of seven series the San Antonio Spurs won. Dallas had a very bad weekend for professional sports. The Rangers lost on Friday, Saturday and Today. |

This weekend they are holding an invitation-only try out session for the team at Delmar Stadium. If I go, I plan to yell, "Go, Habaneros!" which I still think is the best name for them. Mom |
