If those people can really hear without ear holes and see through a glass eye he should get scientists to study these claimed 'miracles' . If Christians want to convince non-Christians their religion isn't a bronze age myth this kind of evidence would be a good place to start. Of course he won't show off these miracles to our scientists because he's just another obvious liar for Jesus and he's not stupid enough to try to fool the scientific community. He's lying to you people and also making you guys look like gullible fools and making your religion look very dishonest.

For a guy who works for right thinking people so often, it is strange that it never wore off on you. My opinion is still the same. Funny that you forgot to link to it.

Nice to see Jason's whatever-he's-doing back up. He gives Christian-bashers a bad name.

OBTW, Wim recommended something "tasty" from New Glarus. I will buy the beer next time you pass through and bring you a copy of Hitchens.

I appreciate all your time and thoughts on all this.

Good stuff in this one -- and reassurance that there is a way to be who I am without demeaning (or feeling threatened by) other people.

I am guessing you read and deleted my second comment on the previous post.

With this one, it's interesting and yet threatening. You sound just a little bit like you're advocating Brave New World.

I suppose it is possible to hold back (speak appropriately to the minions below me) without being condescending, but I'm not quite sure how. And I can imagine that's one reason Cory was upset.

Anyway, I am thinking about printing these posts and taking them with me next week.

I do agree that I need to adjust my expectations of others. But I also need to acknowledge my unmet needs -- and learn to live with them somehow.

I don't know the terminology you are using with regard to modes, levels, and strata. I've seen you use these terms before, and those are usually the posts that I don't understand.

At some point today my thoughts wandered to Anakin, Obi Wan, and Palpatine -- Obi Wan cares for Anakin, but doesn't handle him very well, doesn't quite get his drive, his needs. Palpatine does -- and handles him perfectly in order to twist, distort, and mislead him.

I don't think you're playing Palpatine to my Anakin -- I don't think you're merely trying to puff up my ego and sense of grandeur.

I need to be kinder, more compassionate and respectful towards the Obi Wans in my life.

Understanding my differences doesn't perhaps need to include superiority anymore than it needs to include inferiority.

It would certainly be nice if God provided people like Joe (therapists / professional relationship or, better yet, just friends, or a pastor) in my life to replenish the cost of being me.

Allegedly God himself is that spring of living water, but... I still feel like I'm starving sometimes... I remember 1 Cor 13 about this dim mirror.

Oh, and I just read those two articles. They both make me think of Joe. And worry a little about the person I will be seeing next week.

There is a lot to chew on in this post. I think I will have to chew on it later, when I'm not minutes away from getting the little one up.

Meanwhile... it seems there are some incomplete sentences -- I saw a comma in one place and a dash in another that didn't seem to go anywhere. Would you mind running over the post once more and clarify those bits?

Thank you.
